Exciting news for institutions and organizations! The First Call for Project Ideas for the 2021-2027 period of the INTERREG IPA Bulgaria - Türkiye CBC Programme has been officially launched. With the aim of promoting sustainable and inclusive economic growth, this call presents a golden opportunity for collaborative projects that contribute to the local economy and drive digital and green transformation. Eligibility and Thematic Areas: Under the First Call for Project Ideas, institutions and organizations falling within the scope of potential beneficiaries defined in the programme document are invited to submit concept notes of project proposals. The call is open to public institutions, local authorities, educational institutions, professional organizations, and non-profit organizations such as NGOs in specific administrative regions of Bulgaria and Türkiye. Project ideas that align with the specific objective territorial strategy of the programme, "Increasing the competitiveness of the local economy through sustainable and inclusive economic growth based on digital and green transformation," will be accepted. The following thematic areas are particularly encouraged:
Competitiveness and business environment
Digitalization of the local economy and achieving climate neutrality
Employability and labor market integration
Tourism
Ecosystem applications and services for the management of natural values with tourism potential
Application and Funding: Project ideas should be designed for joint management, addressing common problems with at least one project partner from both countries. Lead partners must have a minimum of 3 years' registration and operation in the programme area, while other project partners require at least 2 years' registration and operation in the same area.
The total budget for the First Call for Project Idea proposals is 13.4 million euros, with 85% EU contribution and 15% co-financing provided by the participating countries. The project budget should fall within the range of 500,000 to 1,000,000 EUR. The implementation period for the projects is expected to be between 12 and 24 months.
